Swipe right to help pay a bill.
People who are struggling post a bill along with a short photo or video. Donors swipe through, and when one swipes right, the full amount is paid straight to the biller.
The demo uses fictional bills. No real money moves.

How it works
Three simple steps, whichever side you're on.

- Tell your storyRecord a short video or add a photo. It becomes the main image on your card.
- Get checked, get matchedOur team reviews your bill before it goes live. When a donor swipes right, the full amount goes to your biller, and you can send them a thank-you.

A look at the app
Screens from our working prototype.

Simple, upfront fees
A 5% transaction fee paid by donors, shown on every bill before you pay. Nothing is taken from the person you're helping, and BillHelper never holds your money.
Receivers get the full bill paid
If your bill is £80, your biller receives £80. We never take a cut of the amount you need.
Donors pay a 5% transaction fee
Paid by the donor on top of the bill. It covers card processing, bill checks and running the service.
| Bill (credited in full) | £88.00 |
| 5% transaction fee | £4.40 |
| Donor pays | £92.40 |
Built around safety
Our aim is to make sure your help reaches the bill it was meant for.
Every bill is reviewed
A member of our team checks each bill before it can appear in anyone's deck. Bills that can't be checked don't go live.
Paid to the biller
Donations are designed to go straight to the bill, not to a personal account, so the money is used for what was asked.
Trusted sign-in
You sign in with Google or Apple. We don't ask you to create another password.
Questions
Is BillHelper live yet?
Not yet. We're in early development. You can try a demo with fictional bills at /app, but no real money moves. Join the early-access list and we'll let you know when we launch.
Who gets the money?
The biller. The full bill amount is paid towards the bill itself, such as an energy, water or phone bill, not to the person who posted it.
How much does it cost?
For people asking for help, nothing: you are credited 100% of your bill. Donors pay the bill plus a 5% transaction fee, for example £88.00 + £4.40 = £92.40. The fee is shown on every bill card and again before you confirm.
Does BillHelper hold my money?
No. There is no wallet and no stored balance. You save a card once on our website (Stripe keeps the card details), and it is charged only when you swipe right and confirm a bill, for that bill plus the 5% fee.
Can I pay inside the app?
Cards are added on the BillHelper website, not in the app. Tap "Add payment card" and the app opens our website in Safari or Chrome. After that, paying a bill is a swipe and one tap.
How are bills checked?
Every bill is reviewed by our team before it goes live. Bills we can't check aren't published.
Can I thank the person who paid my bill?
Yes. Once your bill is paid, you can send your donor a thank-you message through the app.
Is BillHelper a charity?
No. BillHelper is an independent service. It isn't a registered charity and isn't affiliated with any biller, bank or government body. Donations through BillHelper are not eligible for Gift Aid.
How do I sign in?
With your Google or Apple account.
